Accomplishments Appointment of two Sausalito residents to the SMFD Board of Directors. Former Sausalito Councilmember Peter Van Meter appointed as full Board Member on June 28 th, Former Sausalito Police and Fire Chief Steve Willis appointed as full Board member on July 30, 2012.

Future Relationship with Sausalito SMFD is committed to being a part of the Sausalito Community. Continue to take part in City staff meetings and strategic planning process. Our staff will continue to work with City staff to assist the public with the building process, safety concerns and improving the quality of life within the City.

Future Goals Wildland Urban Interface. Establishes more stringent building codes for areas considered to be very high hazard WUI. Our goal is for the City to adopt the WUI Code prior to the end of the year.

Future Goals Staffing Equipment Training Dispatch Water System ISO Rating Rating of over 45,000 fire departments nation-wide. The rating is used by most Insurance companies to determine insurance rates.
