The Vine Celebrating the Queen’s 90 th Birthday

What a day to remember! Every child in the school was presented with a booklet celebrating the Queen’s birthday. The Clay family bought each child in Year 6 their copy.

As Queen Elizabeth II was unable to join us, we appointed our own queen for the day. Sophie was our queen.

Crowns of all shapes and sizes were made!

Everybody took part!

We learnt the National Anthem GOD SAVE THE QUEEN God save our gracious Queen Long live our noble Queen God save the Queen. Send her victorious, Happy and glorious Long to reign over us God save the Queen. Thy choicest gifts in store On her be pleased to pour Long may she reign May she defend our laws And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice God save the Queen.

The whole school gathered to raise the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain

The flag was raised and we gave the Queen 90 claps for her birthday!

We have written a message to the Queen in The Queen’s Birthday Book. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Dear Your Majesty, We would like to wish you a very Happy 90th Birthday. We have spent our whole day at School celebrating your Birthday. We watched a film about you, made crowns, wrote cards, designed cakes, took part in a quiz, ate a picnic style lunch in the sunshine, raised the flag and sang God Save the Queen. We think you make a great Queen. Yours truly Moonstone Class All the staff and pupils of The Vine Inter Church Primary School in Cambourne would like to take this opportunity to wish your Majesty a very happy 90th birthday. We have had an amazing day celebrating it! We have made crowns, learnt the national anthem, made bunting, had a Right Royal Picnic and raised the flag! As a Church School we have been learning about the important role you play as Head of the Church in England. We hope that you and your family have enjoyed your own celebrations too!! Congratulations.
