YEAR 5 VISIT TO DOWNE 6 th to 8 th July 2016

Where we will be staying We have 2 buildings: Pembroke and Jubilee building.

Activities Activities include: Zip wire Abseiling Archery Crate stacking Orienteering Go karting Aerial trek Incline climbing Campfire

Kit A few pieces of advice: –Pack old clothes that you do not mind getting muddy!!! –The children HAVE to carry their own bags, so don’t over pack! –Remember to include black sacks for dirty/ damp clothes for the journey home. –The mattresses have a plastic cover on them so if your child is bringing a duvet, it is advised to also bring a single bed sheet for comfort. –No electronic items are to be brought to Downe. –Please provide your child with sun cream if it is looking hot however the children will apply their own sun cream.

Money Pocket money is limited to £5 for the 3 days. (Although you do not have to bring this much!) –Money should be in a named wallet/ envelope and given to their adult leader for safe keeping.

Medicines All medicines including asthma pumps need to be in school week commencing Monday 4 th July. The medical form will be coming home after half term and needs to be returned by Friday 24 th June. All medical conditions and daily medicines should be clearly written onto the medical forms. Medicine should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and required dosage and handed to the school office by Tuesday 5 th July.
