A Harvest Basket Church Welcoming all to Jesus Gospel of John 4:34-38

Being a “Harvest Basket” Church God Loves all people everywhere. John 3:16 and John 4:35 Jesus calls everyone to help with the Harvest. John 4:36 God rewards those involved in the harvest. John 4:36 Some sow and some reap. John 4:37,38

A Harvest Basket A Harvest Basket receives and holds the abundance at harvest time. A “Harvest Basket” church welcomes, receives and helps people become devoted followers of Jesus. The GROW classes will be one new thing that will help with this. Sometimes a little shift in the same thing makes a big difference.

Being a “Harvest Basket” Church A “Harvest Basket” Church is to be a safe desirous place into which all people want to come. The main purpose of church meetings is not to make good people… better… but a place to bring people to where the Lord Jesus Christ will minister and transform. We need to make that easy.

A healthy “Harvest Basket” Church is: A place of God’s LOVE. A Place of HOPE and HEALING. A place where people CONNECT. A place to BELONG. A place where people feel SAFE.

A healthy “Harvest Basket” Church is: A place to GROW. A place of RELATIONSHIPS. A place of ACCEPTANCE. A place for ALL AGES.

Being a “Harvest Basket” Church As Easter and Palm Sunday approach…it is a time to invite guests to Hopewell. (A “Harvest Basket” is a far greater value than an “Easter basket”.) Through much prayer, love, serving and making some shifts, we can see Hopewell be winning more people to Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Being a “Harvest Basket” Church How to be a “Harvest Basket” church –Prayerfully come to church –Go out of your way to greet people in the parking lot –Open doors for guests –Introduce yourself with your name first –Speak to their children too. –Offer to have them sit with you. –Greet guests first at greeting times –Connect guest with others by introducing

Being a “Harvest Basket” Church How to be a “Harvest Basket” church –Make this facility always beautiful. –Occasionally be ready with a meal at home and find someone to invite for lunch – visitor or church attender. –We want this to be a place that shows: We are expecting guests and visitors of all ages We expecting young families We are expecting teenagers We are expecting children

Being a “Harvest Basket” Church Let’s think of ways to make our church more inviting to all while we keep our important biblical values. Let’s make the shift and be a Harvest Basket church. Let’s have Jesus’ heart for the Harvest.
