Using Technology to Enhance Student Instruction and Student Understanding Presenter: Tom Gavin Eisenberg Elementary Third Grade Teacher

Today we will look at 3 pieces of technology used in my classroom. If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring? Fliggo 123 Pilgrims…cheesy I know!

What is this Jing Thing? Jing is a FREE software application that lets you take a picture of your computer screen, record a video of onscreen computer action with audio, and last the ability to share instantly over the web, IM, or . (notes will discuss that I can record this presentation) Jing Did I mention it is FREE? Using Jing!

Still unsure of the power of Jing in your classroom? Seeing is believing! Let’s look at my classroom video podcasts! How can I manage so my own students can access these video podcasts?

What are the benefits for the classroom teacher? Great tool for an absent student. Helps your ELL population. Use as an intervention for students that are struggling with vocabulary. What other uses can you see for your classroom?

Fliggo Fliggo is a video site where you can upload videos and share those videos easily from any internet enabled computer.
