Document title Transforming lives through learning Great ‘food’ news for Scotland Applications open until midnight on Friday 1 April 2016 for projects that will start in the year from April Notification will be given by the end of April £3,000 - £10,000 The Fund is open to all publicly funded primary, secondary and special schools in Scotland which are not already benefitting from the Attainment Scotland Fund. Proposals should have a particular focus on literacy, numeracy or health and wellbeing. They can be new ideas, or a project with a specific focus, building on what has had the greatest impact within a school, cluster or group of schools. This may include projects involving parental / family engagement and career-long professional development or those that help develop and realise aspirations for children and young people.

Primary 5 will learn the skill of chopping using a bridge and claw action, Primary 6’s will continue their skill in chopping and learn how to safely use the cookers while Primary 7 will be working with other professionals at the on hospitality. Chopping, learning and making healthy meals, the importance of hygiene, learning about hospitality and eating a range of foods all through an exciting ‘Serve It’ programme.’ Pupil checklist linked to SALs?
