14 Monitoring of research Any inquiry about a piece of research (approved by a Committee or low risk notification) triggers a review of the complete file for that research. A participant in an HDEC approved study contacted the Research Ethics Office with questions about the research procedures and withdrawal from the study. The participant’s experience was discussed with the researcher and Head of Academic Unit in accordance with standard operating procedures for Health and Disability Ethics Committees.
