Rear Adm. Stephen C. Evans is the son of a United States Marine and a native of Beaufort, South Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel in 1986 earning a Bachelor of Arts. He holds a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. In addition, RDML Evans was a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Seminar XXI Fellow. He took command of Naval Service Training Command in July 2015.

Rear Adm. Stephen C. Evans is the son of a United States Marine and a native of Beaufort, South Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel in 1986 earning a Bachelor of Arts. Lieutenant Colonel Williamson is originally from Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) with Merit and was commissioned in the Marine Corps in May Lieutenant Colonel Williamson’s academic and professional education includes: B.S., Computer Science (USNA, 1994); M.S., Management (NPS, 2000); Masters of Military Studies (MCU, 2009); Darden School of Business Executive Education Course (UVA, 2013). has recently completed an assignment with the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) in the Pentagon. While with the JCS, he served as the Project Management Branch Chief and the Joint Service Provider Information Technology Transition Team Program Manager within the J6 C4/Cyber Directorate.

CDR Pohanka is currently serving as the Regional Environmental Counsel to Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic. CDR Pohanka graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor of science in nursing in She then worked as a critical care nurse, served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal, and received her master of science in nursing and master of public health from Johns Hopkins University. In 2002, CDR Pohanka was commissioned in the Navy Nurse Corps. She served a tour at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, during which she deployed on the USNS Comfort for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Joint Task Force Katrina. CDR Pohanka was then selected for the Law Education Program and graduated from George Washington University with her juris doctor in 2009.

LT David A. Pipkorn Asset Line Manager Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN) Lieutenant David A. Pipkorn graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Lieutenant Pipkorn is currently serving as the Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) Asset Line Manager at the Command, Control, and Communications Engineering Center (C3CEN) in Portsmouth, Virginia. DGPS is a ground-based correction service that drastically improves the accuracy and reliability of a user’s GPS position and is instrumental in facilitating the safe navigation of vessels in US waters carrying 2.5 billion tons of cargo worth nearly $2 trillion.

Speed Mentoring Etiquette Each group will have 15 minutes with each mentor. (3 Mentors) The mentor will start by asking a question. The mentor will answer the question first, and then the mentee group will share their prospective. Listen without interrupting. Be respectful of other people and their opinions. Differing perspectives are to be expected, not criticized.

Lieutenant Commander Robert Crosby, a native of Hot Coffee, Ms. began his naval career at Recruit Training Center, San Diego, CA in He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, a Defense-focused MBA in Financial Management from The Naval Postgraduate School, a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He is also a graduate of the Naval Nuclear Power School and George Washington University’s legislative studies program. He currently serves as the Weapons Department Director for The Trident Training Facility in Kings Bay, Ga.
