THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS - RGV FY 2016 BOARD RATES Food Advisory Committee November 5, 2014

BOARD RATES  Purpose: UTRGV residents will have a comparable experience regardless of the campus location.  Objective: UTRGV residents will be able to utilize their meal plan or dining dollars at any UTRGV campus location.  Strategy: Develop a food service program at each campus location.

BOARD RATES  FY Short Term Plan 1.Edinburg Campus offers a full service dining program which allows for:  Mandatory board plans required for dormitory residents  Dining Dollars (min.) required for apartment residents 2.Brownsville Campus will undergo a transition of dining services with the timeframe to be determined. In FY 2016, a mandatory meal plan or dining dollars will not be required. As infrastructure is developed, optional participation will be made available. The next generation of residence life will migrate to a more traditional residence life experience with mandatory meal plan participation.
