Data for population health indicators at small area geographies is often difficult to obtain, particularly in areas outside of only the largest cities in the U.S. - Galveston County is no exception. Galveston County Community Health Needs Assessment seeks to fill the data gap by providing both UTMB researchers and our community partners with better population health estimates for the county

[REACH LOGO HERE] Purpose The Galveston County Health Needs Assessment is being conducted collaboratively by the UTMB ITS Community Engagement and Research Resource in partnership with the Galveston REACH Coalition, to provide evidence- based baseline estimates among the general adult population of Galveston County in terms of: Health status and Quality of Life; Disease, health determinant, and health behavior prevalence; Access to health care, health-related services, and similar resources; Disaster preparedness; and Perceptions of neighborhoods and communities in terms of health, health risk, and health promotion
