Automatic College Admissions Texas students may be eligible for automatic admission to a state college or university if they meet certain criteria; Earn a G.P.A in the top 10 percent* of his/her high school graduating class Graduate from a Texas public or private high school Graduate on the DISTINGUISHED PLAN satisfy ACT's College Readiness Benchmarks by earning a score of at least 1,500 out of 2,400 or the equivalent on the SAT assessment Apply for admission to a state college or universitywithin the first two school years after HS graduation *Top 7% for the University of Texas For more specific details visit

Absences and Loss of Credit - Must have 90 % attendance to receive credit (even excused absences count against) - If absent: - Parent call that day - Bring a signed parent note when student returns

School Supplies Each teacher will have their own list of supplies needed. In general, expect that your child will need the following: - binder - notebook paper -pens & pencils -pens & pencils - student planner (issued by CHS) - student ID (issued by CHS)
