The Solar System is made up of the Sun, which is a star, and the planets, which move around the Sun.There are also satellites, asteroids and comets. THE PLANETS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM: Mercury,Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Uranus and Neptune. CELESTIAL BODIES

The Earth takes 365 days and 6 hours to complete one orbit of the Sun. This causes the four seasons:spring, summer, autumn and winter. SEASONS

The Earth's rotation causes day and night. The Earth takes 24 hours to complete one rotation. DAY AND NIGHT

The phases of the Moon are: Waxing Moon,Waning Moon,New Moon and Full Moon. PHASES OF THE MOON
