Coffee Dispenser Specifications and Installation Requirements

Specifications and Installation Requirements: Counter Space Dimensions: Width13 in(330mm) Depth18 1/8(460mm) Height30 in(770mm) The space required for Vcafé installation must include a minimum of 4 inches (102mm) clearance on each side and the back of the unit. Never mount in a closed cabinet unless the installation space is provided with ducts and fan to introduce fresh air and remove normal excess heat created during water heating and refrigeration the concentrate storage compartments.

Specifications and Installation Requirements: Electrical Requirements The Vcafé automatically accommodates input voltage from 100 to 240VAC. No changes to the internal wiring or power supply are required. (How cool is this??) Only the electical connector and a program selection will require change. The latter will be covered in the next slide. Specifications with recommended breakers and line connectors are: Voltage Current Draw Total Watts Circuit Breaker Recommended Connector 230 VAC23.5 A A NEMA L630R NEMA L630P 110VAC15A A NEMA 5-20R NEMA 5-20P VoltageCurrent DrawTotal WattageCircuit Breaker Recommended Connector 230VAC23.5 A ANEMA L630R/L630P 110 VAC15 A ANEMA L1020R/L1020P NEMA L630R NEMA L630P V V A 20A NEMA 520P Connector is shown. Parallel blades are acceptable if rated 20A. NEMA 520P NEMA 520R This system requires two wires plus ground. Neutral is not used for power connection.

Specifications and Installation Requirements: Electrical Requirements The recommended connectors were selected for being almost universally accepted throughout North America. Others may be suitable for use in a given locale. Before changing connector styles, be certain your local electrical codes will consider it acceptable. Circuit Breakers require rigid adherence to the recommendations on the previous page. Do not connect the Vcafé to a circuit protected by a breaker rated lower than these values. Always confirm the circuit used is protected by the correct breaker value and that the Vcafé is the only machine using the circuit. Failure to comply with these basic safety guidelines promotes the possibility of property loss, injury or even death.

Specifications and Installation Requirements: Water Filters Water filters should be used on all coffee dispenser installations. Making up more than 95% of the finished drink, taste free water is essential to the quality of any dispensed beverage. Contributors to bad tasting water include sediment, dissolved minerals and chemicals. The most prevalent of these factors is chlorine and is easily eliminated using a simple in line or cartridge filter as illustrated here. The most insidious issues may include all of these factors and may require a multi stage system to remove particulates, minerals and chemicals such as iron, sulphur, lead and more. Water filtration is a complex specialty and requires familiarity with local conditions. When required, always consult a reputable filter vendor for specific needs. This subject will receive detailed coverage in a course dedicated to the subject. Always use a filter!

A 3/8 water supply line is required for the connection Water Supply pressure must fall between 10 to 120 psi with a minimum flow rate of 2 gallons per minute. Verify by running water from the water line into a bucket for one minute. Any volume greater than 2 gallons is acceptable. 3/4” Female Garden Hose Connector X 3/8 MPT 3/8” Water Supply Line 3/8” FPT X 3/8 Flare ELL Note: Due to differences in local health and plumbing regulations, the Vcafe is not fitted or supplied with any form of backflow prevention device. Water Pipe connections and fixtures directly connected to a potable water supply shall be sized, installed and maintained in accordance with federal, state and local codes.
