Contributions Warren was an active member in the fight for freedom.In 1774, Warren took charge of the drastic cause in Boston. He wrote the Suffolk Resolves, which expressed the American position that was enforced by the Congress. He chaired the Committee of Safety, which collected guns and trained the units of the militia. Warren also warned Paul Revere and William Dawes and sent them to spread the word about the British troops coming. He fought in the Battle of Lexington and treated the wounded.

A Lasting Legacy Warren was buried on April 18th, 1776 in the Old Granary Burial Grounds. Later he was moved to the tombs under St. Paul's Cathedral and then finally in 1856 to the Forest Hills Cemetery. Many cities and counties are named after him.
