Key challenges Notification of movements - timeliness of notification - data entry backlog - electronic notification by auctioneers - permit validity period Animal identification - compliance levels are low for small stock Enforcement - uniformity of compliance monitoring

New iD requirements

Animal iD 8-digit number - 7-digit number - 1-check digit No stock brand Reasons for no stock brand - bulk ordering to reduce cost - cut-off long waiting period
