3 INTRODUCTION Retail management refers to the method in which business is handled in the retail sector. It simply refers to the stage in which goods and services are delivered to the end-users. Retail management is an art and necessitates the various options for complete end user satisfaction. WestEnd Retailers are pioneers in trendy apparels,accessories, crockery and household items for men, women and kids. To keep up with the rapid pace of industry changes, West-end wanted to automate its store operations.
4 Business overview The major business functionalities included in this project are: Invoice Management - deals with the invoice billing of the customer for each purchase. This helps to manage the retail store's accounting process. Stock Management - deals with the goods and services of the WestEnd retail store. In stock management, the stock details can be viewed. The stock details can be updated and modified through this stock management.
5 Modules 1. LOGIN SCREEN The login screen is the first screen of the retail management system. Based on the users, the login option differs. The two login options of the available are: 1. Admin 2.Customer The user's can login to their respective options available to perform the processes. The user's enter the option in the option field and press Enter key.

8 2. MAIN MENU SCREEN The user has 2 options in the main menu screen. They can perform invoice management by selecting the first option. To manage the stock details the user can select the second option. The user can enter the required option in the 'Option' field and press Enter key. In case of invalid key/option, an appropriate error message has to be entered. Modules

10 Modules 3. INVOICE MANAGEMENT SCREEN The invoice management screen is to perform the invoice billing for each purchase of the customer. The customer name, , phone number of the customer and DOB has to be entered. On entering the product code, the other details like Product name, Category, Brand and Price/Unit will be fetched and displayed. The Quantity has to be entered and the subtotal will be calculated automatically and displayed. The invoice number will be generated automatically. The Total Value should be displayed for all the items purchased and Press F9 to confirm. On pressing F9, it should go to the Payment Screen.

12 Modules 4. PAYMENT SCREEN The invoice number and amount should be auto-populated from the previous screen. The remaining details will be entered and after all the validations, a message “ Bill Generated” will be displayed. If the option for Payment type is entered as 'Card', a screen will be displayed for the card details.

16 5. STOCK MANAGEMENT SCREEN The stock management screen allows the user to manage the stock details of the WestEnd stores. The stock management screen has 2 options. On selecting option 1: user can “view inventory details” On selecting option 2: user can “modify inventory details” Modules

18 Modules 5. VIEW STOCK INVENTORY SCREEN The stock inventory can be searched based on the category. The status will be ‘O’(out of stock) if the available quantity is 0. Based on the result of the products the user can analyse the products that needs to be updated.

20 6. MODIFY STOCK INVENTORY SCREEN This screen gives an option to add/update/delete items from the Stock Inventory. For Adding a new product into the Inventory, the details like Product Code, Product Name, Brand, Category, Quantity and Tentatively available date needs to be entered. On pressing PF2, the new product details will be added to the stock database. Modules
21 Modules CONT... For Updating an existing product, the Product Code should be entered and Product name, Brand and Category will be fetched. The quantity, price per unit and tentative date can be updated and on pressing PF4, the quantity will be updated in the stock table. For deleting a product, the Product code will be entered On pressing PF5, that particular product will be deleted from the stock table.

24 ENHANCEMENT The WestEnd retail store can be enhanced to online retail store for the ease of customers. The security to the customers while accessing the online store will be provided. The invoice management of the WestEnd stores will be improved for maintaining the customer details for any future references or for any other purposes
25 CONCLUSION The WestEnd retail store is developed to make the invoice and the stock management process more efficient. Stock maintenance in the Westend stores are processed in a good manner. This reduces the manpower requirement for invoice and stock management processes. The stock inventory is well maintained with this system Thus the Retail management system helps to deliver goods and services to the customers
