Welcome to the Tigers Team 6A Open House

Contacting ME and Extension  ext Voic - Call school and enter extension Homework Hotline-Updated weekly/daily  Call the school  Enter HW Hotline extension **My phone system is cranky. Until I get that fixed, homework hotline will not be used. Homework will be on my website.

Skill Enhancement 2 week rotation between core classes (Math, Science, & Social Studies) Students will see each core teacher one rotation per marking period. Project based enrichment for each core class. CR grades are part of the core class grades. CR is not a separate grade and will not show up on report cards or interim reports.

Honors Classes Students are placed in Honors based on a number of tests given both in the spring and the fall. These are fast paced courses that cover all 6 th grade required standards at a deeper level. Language Arts Seminar

Agenda Book Students need to:  Carry to every class  Record all assignments  Use as passes to go to the bathroom, nurse and lockers Students only receive 10 passes a marking period. No passes allowed once all passes are used up! Parents/Guardians:  Please help your child stay organized by- Checking the agenda book for homework Keeping hw in the correct folders Refraining from throwing away papers in your child’s folders-We will do this at school!

Absent Work All students need to follow the agenda book guidelines for turning in absent homework. If your child is absent, they need to check the homework board located in all core teachers’ classrooms and record the assignments in their agenda books. It is the student’s responsibility to turn in their absent work on time. The teacher’s will not ask for the student’s absent/late work.

On-Line Grades/Teacher Websites Parents can check their child’s grades on-line with the RDS Parent Portal at any time. Parents and students can check homework assignments and upcoming events on teachers’ websites. Taft Middle School’s Website  My Website 
