Lech Wałęsa

He was born on 29th September 1943 in Popow. He was an electrician and the leader of National Union called Solidarnosc. In 1983 he was the Nobel prizewinner. He is known as one of the most important people in Poland. Lech Walesa was the President of Poland from 12th December 1990 till 22nd December 1995 and was one of the people who took part in abolishing the communism in Poland.

The Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin

He was born on 22nd February or 1st March 1810 in Zelazowa Wola. He gave his first concert in During the rebellion in Poland he decided to go to Paris. He was the most important Polish composer. He died in Paris in 1848.

Polish scientist Maria Skłodowska – Curie

She was born on 7th November 1867 in Warsaw. In1891she left to Paris and started studying there. In 1895 she got married to Piotr Curie and after three years they discovered polonium and radium. She received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. She died on 4th July 1934 in France.

The Pope John Paul II

He was born on 18th May 1920 in Wadowice. In 1964 he became an archbishop and in 1967 a cardinal. He took part in the Vatican Council II. On 16th October 1978 he became the Pope and got the name John Paul II. He was the first Polish Pope. He died on 2nd April 2005 in Vatican.

Today it is the best known company in the world producing cosmetics. It is famous not only in Poland but also in Malaysia, Azerbaijan and Ireland. The first beauty parlour was opened in Montreal, Canada in Nowadays Inglot owns about 400 shops in over 50 countries in the world.

In 2013 the company signed the agreement for delivering 36 trains for Berlin. By the end of 2015 the company will have delivered about 500 vehicles for German railways.

The company was set by Michał Jicinski and Marcin Iwinski and became famous for creating the games.Two parts of ‘’Witcher’’ were sold in amount of 6 milion copies. It was also a gift for American President Barak Obama from the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the visiting in Poland.
