Advisement & Registration First Year Student Requirements Fall Semester:  Attend a First Year Registration Session  Meet with your academic advisor after the add/drop period (by October 16 th ) and before the withdrawal period ends (by November 7th). You can call (973) 353–5800 to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor.  Attend at least one POWER Workshop in your first year  Attend a Registration 101 Workshop in November to register for classes for the spring semester. (Eventbrite will be sent out via in October)

First day of classes is September 6 th Last day to drop a class without a WITHDRAW (“W”) grade is September 13 th Last day to add a class is September 14 th Last day to WITHDRAW from a course (with W grade) is November 7 th Last day of classes is December 14 th & finals end December 16 th Office of Academic Services is located in Hill Hall 312 and provides appointments and walk-ins with academic advisors

Advisement & Registration Graduation Requirements In order to graduate you need… *120 credits completed *2.0 GPA or higher *Declared Major (sophomore year; After completing 24 credits) *All Core Curriculum, Major, 2 nd Concentration, and 2 Writing Intensive courses (at least one must be within your major) You can access the RU-Newark Catalog on-line You can review your academic audit on Degree Navigator Career Development Center can assist you with choosing a major We send updates via regarding workshops and important dates to remember to check your Rutgers !
