 All of the water on or near the Earth.  Includes oceans, rivers, lakes, and even the moisture in the air.  Moves through the water cycle.

 All living systems such as biomes or ecosystems.  Includes life on land, in the oceans and rivers, and even life we cannot see with the naked eye.

 Meteorological features and phenomena such as weather or aerosols (particles in the air).  Includes gases and small particles located above the Earth’s surface.
