 Understand the 3 types of levers that are used in everyday life and how they affect different sports.

 How does newton’s 2 nd law relate to the overhead clear in badminton?  What is the agonist, antagonist and bones involved in the following movements:  Flexion at the hip, Extension at the knee, dorsi-flexion of ankle  Name the 3 stages of skill learning and a sentences describing each one.

 All levers have 3 basic parts.  Resistance/Load  Pivot/Fulcrum  Force/Effort  Depending on the way they are sequenced depends on the class of lever it is.  Levers are in 3 categories, 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd class.

 What is the purpose of the following; crowbar and golf club?  Crowbar  Is designed to move a resistance with a small input of force (Move a resistance)  Golf Club  Designed to generate high velocities at one end that can be passed on to another object (Velocity and momentum)

 The general rule with levers, the longer the lever the greater the velocity that can be generated.  Why isn’t a badminton racquet made 2m long?
