Used ICT to engage students (lessons 1, 2 and 6) – iPhone and iPads Used ICT Provided images to students for them to grasp the concept of light and engage in the learning (lessons 4 and 5) Laser Pointer – students wanted to know more about the light source – (lesson 3)

WALT Today we are learning to:  Identify natural and man-made light sources  Understand how a shadow is formed etc Activities we used were to help the students understand the learning intentions of the concept. Reflection: Each lesson concluded with a five minute reflection where the students would each tell the group one thing they learnt and gave an example of what it is they were talking about.  One student stated he learnt that light can reflect off things. His example was that light reflects off the earth which is why people can see objects in space.
