Introduction: - What is the Information Governance Alliance? (IGA) IGA workplan now approved Integration Pioneer work is active Participation is critical for next phase of work: - Expert Reference Groups and WebEx sessions

What is the Information Governance Alliance?? ( The Information Governance Alliance (IGA) is o a group of national health and care organisations that are working together to provide a joined up and consistent approach to information governance (DH, HSCIC, NHS England, Public Health England) o The IGA mission is to enhance the quality of health and care services, including people's experience of using those services, by improving information governance o systems.hscic.gov.uk/infogov/iga; Started July 2014

Integration Pioneer work is progressing Integration Pioneer - “Deep dive” problem solution for 4 sites is in progress: o NW London (1 st meeting ) o Leeds (1 st meeting ) o Waltham Forest and City of London WELC (1 st meeting ) o Southend (1 st meeting ) e.g. products o steps to inform the public, o route of IDCR, o clarity on approaching CAG & S251 o Information sharing toolkit Work with 25 Pioneer site (Phase 1 discovery complete & Phase 2 support just starting up) Set of products and case studies from July onward Solutions to be applicable and available across England

Participation is critical for next phase of IGA development Expert Reference Group o Essential participatory way of working, circulation of local approaches and documents for review by colleagues o Now active for Information Sharing Toolkit o Just about to launch IG Glossary including “direct care” definition WebEx sessions on request by SIGN local chairs; IGA programme from June onward
