“the glory of God was upon Moses” (v2) “Transfiguration is a special change in appearance and nature which is wrought upon a person or thing by the power of God. This divine transformation is from a lower to a higher state; it results in a more exalted, impressive, and glorious condition.... “By the power of the Holy Ghost many prophets have been transfigured so as to stand in the presence of God and view the visions of eternity” (Bruce R. “thou art in the similitude of mine Only Begotten” (v6) Moses is in the similitude of Christ. Who is speaking here? Jesus Christ. Wait, what? Divine investiture “Divine investiture is defined as that condition in which -- in all His dealings with the human family Jesus the Son has represented and yet represents Elohim His Father in power and authority.... Thus... Jesus Christ spoke and ministered and through the Father's name; and so far as power, authority and Godship is concerned His words and acts were and are those of the Father.” – Neal A Maxwell

Revelation since the Fall “All revelation since the fall has come through Jesus Christ, who is the Jehovah of the Old Testament.... He is the God of Israel, the Holy One of Israel; the one who led that nation out of Egyptian bondage, and who gave and fulfilled the Law of Moses. Why is this not in the Bible? Satan tries to remove himself from the scriptures: – The origin of Satan (Moses 4:1-4) – The temptation of Adam and Eve (Moses 4:5-12) – The temptation of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve (Moses 5:12-13) – Cain’s covenants with Satan (Moses 5:18-31) “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.”

“calling upon the name of God, he beheld his glory again” (v25) Two questions in v30 1.Why are these things so? 2.By what madest Thou them? (How) Two answers 1.“For mine own purpose” – Why doesn’t he tell us? 2.“By the Word of my Power” – John 1:1-4
