Cleansing the Leper Matthew 8:2-4; Mark 1:40-45; Luke 5:12-16 The man is covered with leprosy, yet comes to Jesus Mosaic law required lepers to stay apart & warn people when they were near Modern medicine can usually cure leprosy and other skin diseases, but it was incurable in ancient times

Forgiving Sin Matthew 9:1-8; Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:17-26 Jesus is in His own home in Capernaum where a large crowd has gathered to hear Him teach Four men want to help a paralyzed man get to Jesus, but they cannot get through the crowd

Galatians 6:7-8, Romans 1:18f People also suffer because of the consequences of the sins of other people We also suffer because we live in a fallen and sin cursed world - the consequence of Adam’s sin

Conclusions What will you do with Jesus? Will you be like the scribes and Pharisees who remained skeptical in their unbelief? Will you be like the astonished crowd that praised Jesus for the moment, but still does not believe in Him?
