Q 2 : What are the general characteristics of the learners from 5 to 7 years old?  They know that the world is governed by rules and they must obey them.  They understand situations more quickly than they understand the language used.  They use language skills long before they are aware of them.  Their own understanding comes through hands and eyes and ears.  They have a very short attention and little concentration.  Young children sometimes have difficulty in knowing what is fact and what is fiction. The dividing line between the real world and the imaginary world is not clear.  Young children are often happy playing and working alone but in the company of others. What are the general characteristics of the learners from (5 to 7 years old)?

 The adult world and the child’s world are not the same. Children do not always understand what adults are talking about. The difference is that adults usually find out by asking questions, but children don’t always ask.  Young children seldom admit that they don’t know something.  Young children cannot decide for themselves what to learn.  Young children love to play, and they learn best when they are enjoying themselves.  They are enthusiastic and positive about learning. They like to be praised and encouraged.

What are the general characteristics of learners (8-10 or 11years old)? Q 3:What are the general characteristics of learners (8-10 or 11years old)? Children of 11 are relatively mature children with an adult side and a childish side. The qualities above become for them things of the past.  They form basic concepts and they decide views of the world.  They can tell the differences between facts and fictions.  They ask questions all the time.  They rely on the spoken word as well as the physical world to convey and understand meaning.

What are the general characteristics of learners (8-10 or 11years old)?  They are able to make some decisions about their own learning.  They have definite views about what they like and don’t like doing.  They begin to ask questions while learning.  They are able to work with others and learn from others.

What are the 3 general language developments a 10 years old pupil can acquire ? When we come to learning a foreign language, we find that there are many similarities between learning one’s mother tongue and learning a foreign language in spite of the differences in age and the time available. So far nobody has found a universal pattern of language learning which everyone agrees with. There are many views and theories concerning learning. What is clear here is that most 8 to 10 year old pupil will have some sort of language awareness and readiness which they bring with them into the foreign language classroom. Around seven or eight, things seem to fall into place for most children and they begin to make sense of the adult world they live in.
