Accurate manifests required and absolutely NO dangerous or hazardous goods Thu 18 - Air freight departs Cranfield May 2013 Wed01 - SALSTICE test flight at Cranfield Thu02 - Post test-flight instrument rectification (& Fri) - Deadline for 146 pack-up to be delivered to FAAM Fri pack-up, final aircraft preparations Mon06 - Detachment Start: 146 & early party departs for Tucson Tue07 - Main party departs for Tucson. Advance party rest day. Wed08 - Rest day for main party. 146 arrives in Tucson Thu09 - Welcome brief 0930 at the hotel. Rest day for 146 crew. - Flight planning - Unpack and set up at airport & hotel Fri10 – Mon 27 - Potential SALSTICE flights Tue28 - Pack-up Wed 29 - Detachment End: 146 & staff departs for home Thu 30 - staff arrive home Fri arrives at Cranfield

15 Working at Tucson Airport 1 of 2 Pack-up Storage -In room at rear of hangar, IT equipment in hotel conference room Refreshments -Vending machines in Atlantic Aviation Services Refreshing -Toilets and washing machines in Atlantic Aviation Services Pre-flight -Outside 2 ½ hours -Briefing near aircraft or in Atlantic Aviation Services conference room at T/O - 1 hour. All tools off by this time Security -DFL pass will act as your Airport Security passes ( unless we hear otherwise ) -CCM cabin security sweep T/O - 45 minutes -Bring DFL pass and passport to fly!

16 Working at Tucson Airport 2 of 2 Conform to normal airport security procedures (ie. no liquids, sharp instruments etc. if flying) Always carry DFL pass DFL pass and Passport required to fly Outside –Hi-viz jackets must be worn on the ramp (FAAM has some spares but bring your own if you have one) –Stay within the aircraft foot print –Be aware of F.O.D. Do not drop rubbish. If you see any, pick it up and put in the F.O.D. bins Post flight –Be aware of other aircraft moving (i.e. if the beacon is on, stay on the 146 or stay on the walk way –Post flight will be 1 hour or as required

17 Comms and Costs Mobile Phones –US system though UK Quad band should work –FAAM will provide a local SIM card and phones (24) –Phones for keeping in contact at Tucson and days out, NOT for phoning home –Skype phones available in conference room at hotel Exchange rate –£1 = approx $1.60 Prices –Food generally slightly cheaper than the UK to eat out
