Electrical Distribution Analysis & Testing Everything You Need To Know About Power Distribution By Current Solutions PC

What Is Power Distribution System Study & Analysis Electrical power distribution system analysis and studies are basically evaluating the electrical power system need and effectiveness of any given facility. It also includes identifying any opportunity of saving utility and construction cost and finding a solution that helps electrical system fixing potential issues that might result as costly interruptions in power services. In addition, it also brings solutions to cut down or at least minimize power outages such as down time. Also troubleshooting and maintaining faulty and dangerous equipment in a facility and verifying their compliance to several electrical codes and other requirements such as insurance requirements.

Arc Flash Analysis A power system fault can cause one of the most deadly and cruel hazards known to man as arc flash blast. It’s an explosive release of energy that can result as a total loss of both precious life and money. The duration and the magnitude of heat released by short circuit currents can reduced by clearing any fault in work place as per the standards of electrical safety. It also determining the amount of heat released in any event of fault in electrical system and determining the appropriate labels. Training, personal protective equipment, and other work place electrical safety measures that workers must adhere at different piece of equipment is also a part of arc flash analysis.

Short Circuit Calculations & Studies Short circuit calculations and studies are based on 5 primary aspects. 1.Avoiding any catastrophic losses and reducing any potential electrical risk to a facility. 2.Increase both safety and reliability of an electrical power distribution system and equipment. 3.Evaluating protective devices, equipment and applications associated with electric power. 4.Identify any problems and faulty areas in the system. 5.Obtain OSHA and other electrical safety code recommended solutions. Working on larger electrical systems in commercial facilities requires studies to determine switchgear ratings and relay settings. Short circuit studies are considered very useful as it is one of the most serious threats to human life due to extensive equipment damage caused by fault currents.

Power Quality Analysis & Studies It is the evaluation of electrical energy or power running into equipment in such a form that will make it operate better, proper, and efficient and help preventing and risk or damage to the equipment. It generally includes power quality parameters such as voltage, frequency, and wave shape. Many of the modern age equipment such as a computer in a commercial facility only operates within a certain tolerance curve and power quality analysis helps verifying particular equipment tolerance specified by manufacturers. It is also checking and verifying whether the power quality within a system is adequate for equipment to run properly without glitches.
