Brown Sugar  Spoon it  Pack it  Heap it  Level it

Crisco/Shortening  Spoon it  Pack it  Heap it  Level it

Eggs  Crack one at a time into a custard cup

Vanilla  Measure over a custard cup into a measuring spoon

Baking Soda/Baking Powder/Salt/Seasonings  Scoop it  Heap it  Level it

Butter  Use the tablespoon markings from the wrapper to score the butter. By unwrapping before you cut you can either use all the butter immediately for your recipe or re-wrap some for later.

*Always measure over a clean custard cup or bowl rather than other ingredients.
