About The Author Elizabeth Winthrop Is an award winning author for all ages, including The Battle for the Castle and Counting on Grace both available in yearling additions. She lives in New York City and the Berkshires.

William’s (the main character and the narrator) Nanny, Mrs. Phillips, was going to move soon to England. But she was like family to him so, he was not so happy about it. “I am giving you a goodbye present,” she said one day. But, since it was a ‘goodbye present’ he did not want it. But he did want to see it though, it was a castle he got to see it and everything, including the silver knight. He had a dagger, a sword, and great armor. He really did like the present and the main tour, but he just didn’t want her to go. That same night,William and his stuffed bear (named bear) picked up the knight and touched him in one way… he woke up. “Ouch!!!!”William yelled. The knight covered his ears from the yell.

“Oh, I am truly sorry for yelling my dear knight!” he whispered. The knight spoke “What?” I said ”How about this, I speak softer and you speak louder. OK?” William said the knight agreed “ I am William, who are you?” “ I am the silver knight or also known as Sir Simon.” the silver knight said “ and you have broken a curse that Alastor put on me.” “ Who’s Alastor?” I said

“ I will tell you, it all began when my father was sick…” and he told the story of how he got here it was an interesting story and then my dad came up and told me to go to bed so I went to my room.

Then one day the knight shrunk me and so we went on this huge journey and I met a interesting man but was mean so it ‘s you know who. So I wanted to work for him The object I got shrunk with is the item below

And then… Read The Castle in the Attic to learn more or go to ( that actually is a fake website) And even read the next book!!! And find these books at your scholastic library!!!!!!!
