In the Park there are many outcrops and outcrops of rock that allow observation of layers of different geological periods. In the reserve occur formed sandstones. They originally deposited as a loose material in the basin during the Tertiary. This material is due to diagenesis transformation into a rock concise.

Featuring a great landscape, the park abounds with the original geological features and unspoiled forest environments. Flora contains about 900 species of vascular plants. The most valuable component of the vegetation are forest ecosystem with a high degree of naturalness. There are 40 species of protected plants. It indicates a high value nature of the park. Dominant species of trees are: beech, fir, pine and oak.
