How Many Trees??? To figure out how many trees to plant, one must know these things: acres to be planted spacing of seedlings

Numbers to Remember 43,560 Square Feet In One Acre 700 Trees, on average, are planted per acre

Where to Order Seedlings The Georgia Forestry Commission or equivalent agency in another state.

Some Common Spacing 6x10 6x12 8x8 5x10

How many seedlings are needed for 1 acre on a 6x10 spacing??

Optimal Time for Planting Optimal time for planting a bare root seedling is: December to February

Seedling Storage Packaged in bales Moss bales need to be watered until used Store in cool, well ventilated place Seedlings may be dipped in slurry prior to shipping Protect seedlings from extreme heat and cold

Answer: 43,560 sq feet /acre 6x10 = 60 43,560/60 = 726 trees per acre
