Labour Market Information – What is it? LMI includes reports, studies, statistics and other information about: the local economy business growth and decline employment rates labour supply and demand future labour trends information on jobs and sectors skills and qualifications

Why is LMI important? It can help you: demonstrates to potential employers your understanding of the environment in which they operate see the relevance of education to your future life by understanding how the skills and knowledge you develop affect your employability identify the sectors where there is growth and the possibility of jobs know what issues the sector is facing who are the main organisations in the sector; are they large or small companies
