 A SOFTWARE PRODUCT PURCHASED BY THE COLLEGE FOR USE IN ASSESSMENT  A TOOL WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR EDUCATION PROGRAMS BUT WHICH HAS APPLICATION TO MANY OTHER PROGRAMS  A PRODUCT WHICH IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE BANNER STUDENT RECORD SYSTEM

 PORTFOLIO ASSIGNMENTS, SURVEYS, ETC. NOT RESTRICTED TO INDIVIDUAL COURSES.  “AUTHENTIC” ASSESSMENT USING RUBRICS.  OUTSIDE RATERS, FIELDWORK EVALUATORS, ETC., EASILY ADDED TO THE SYSTEM.  REQUIREMENTS CAN SPAN SEMESTERS.  ARTIFACT STORAGE CAN SPAN SEMESTERS.  DATA CAN BE ORGANIZED AND REPORTED AROUND “STANDARDS” (E.G., PROGRAM OBJECTIVES, ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS.)

 THE TK20 TEAM IS COMPOSED OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED IN ALL ASPECTS OF TK20. SIX HAVE BEEN TRAINED DIRECTLY BY TK20. TWO HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY SEAN AND MIKE.  WILL BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE PROGRAM LIAISONS AS PROGRAMS BEGIN TO INCORPORATE THE USE OF TK20 IN TERMS OF ASSESSMENT. SOME PROGRAM LIAISONS WILL ALSO BE TRAINED DIRECTLY BY TK20 IN AUSTIN.

 TO BECOME PROFICIENT IN THE USE OF TK20  TO DEVELOP TRAINING TO ASSIST FACULTY AND PROGRAMS WITH USE OF TK20  TO DEVELOP PROTOCOLS FOR EFFECTIVE USE OF TK20  TO ASSIST PROGRAMS WITH UNDERSTANDING HOW TK20 CAN BE USED AS PART OF THEIR ASSESSMENT PROCESS

 BEGAN IN FALL 2006 WITH PILOTING OF ASSESSMENT IN EDUC 1020 ORIENTATION TO EDUCATION  FULL IMPLEMENTATION IN EDUCATION BEGAN IN SPRING 2007  TK20 TEAM FORMED IN FALL 2007  LICENSURE OF TK20 FOR THE ENTIRE COLLEGE BEGINS IN JULY 2008  TRAINING WILL BEGIN IN THE LATE SUMMER  PROGRAMS WILL BE MOVED TO TK20, AS APPROPRIATE, OVER A THREE YEAR PERIOD
