Executive summary Established by the Council, with the help of others, to build a new entity to deliver real benefit to the Corby community that leverages the growth in and around the town To achieve that benefit it aimed to make Corby the UK’s leading practical community scale test centre for new sustainable ways of living, working and travelling It has been a success and in its fourth year We are now developing projects through which the CIC can broaden the benefits for Corby

Why Electric Corby and how? Electric Corby CIC is a Community Interest Company –A blend of private company and public sector agenda –It has the flexibility and agility of a private company, but the values and governance of a public body, as all benefits of the company must go to the Community – the Corby Community –It does not have shares, it is governed by a mixed public private Board to manage the business in alignment with it’s Mission and Values
