TRIPTAC Accomplishments Oct 2009 – May 2013

TRIPTAC Purpose Integrate ATS services and resources into a centralized location accessible to land managers and stakeholders Coordinate between FLMAs, transportation professionals, and stakeholders (local, regional and state planning and/or transit agencies) Accelerate implementation of ATS on public lands by moving research results, resources and lessons learned into the hands of FLMAs through proactive marketing and outreach.

Public Lands Scholars Program Goals Encourage emerging transportation professionals to pursue their career serving federal lands. Provide much-needed transportation expertise to FLMA units and regions to help them address critical transportation issues. Support the development, implementation and evaluation of viable alternative transportation for visitors to FLMAs. Encourage multi-agency alternative transportation programs that serve visitors to multiple FLMA units.

TRIPTAC Accomplishments Assembled 40+ technical experts, one-stop-shop call center Responded to >230 technical assistance requests Online repository with >230 training resources, bi-weekly training e-blast Developed 11 innovative, web-based trainings Conducted >1100 contact training hours Developed and improved electronic project evaluation/selection system (94% of users “saved time”) Created guidance documents based specifically on needs identified by clients Launched an extensive (130+ documents) searchable Resource Library accessible through website (3,500+ hits)
