Lost Childhood –Lost Future

Child’s labor is the global problem in our modern society. Child’s labor attracts children to work on a regular basis. Currently, in most countries child’s labor is a form of exploitation and declared illegal. In the past, child labor was widespread, but after the emergence and recognition of the concepts of safety and the rights of children in the region of child’s labor began to decline gradually.

As noted in the materials organization, Pegatron Group is one of the largest suppliers of Apple. Pegatron Group in China. These include factory Pegatron Shanghai (producing iPhone), factory Riteng (Pegatron unit in Shanghai, engaged in the production of computers Apple) and factory AVY (unit in Suzhou, producing parts for iPad) had 86 cases using child’s labour

The main cause of child labour is poverty, which in turn is influenced by the effects of social inequalities, structural unemployment, vulnerability to shocks and demographic and migratory developments. Many children work for their survival and parents depend on their contribution even if they know it is wrong. In other situations, there is lack of awareness, with children working seen as normal because parents do not understand the negative effects and long-term consequences of child labour

This is - a terrible world map. And shameful. Her published French newspaper " Le Figaro ". Arrow marked on it " global flows " children where adults are forced into prostitution. Middle East and North African countries sexual abuse of children and minors servants committed within the family circle. In India, the six largest cities of 100,000 prostitutes about percent - underage girls... According to the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), the world each year are victims of sexual abuse from two to three million children.

Child is defined as any person under 18 years of age. Child labour is defined on the basis of a child’s age, hours and conditions of work, activities performed and the hazards involved. Child labour is work that interferes with compulsory schooling and damages health and personal development. The Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138) sets the general minimum age for admission to employment or work at 15 years (the Convention allows for certain flexibilities in specific circumstances). For work considered as hazardous, the age is 18. The Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention, 1999 (No. 182) defines worst forms of child labour as all forms of slavery or practices similar to slavery, including the sale and trafficking of children, forced or compulsory labour, such as forced recruitment for armed conflict, the use, procuring or offering of children in commercial sexual exploitation or illicit activities, and hazardous work. Hazardous work, or hazardous child labour, is thus a category of worst forms of child labour.

Match description with pictures of part-time job. I work usually at night once a week. I’ve got a small cousin and I must look after him. I’m 12 years old I deliver newspapers round every day of the week. It takes me an hour. I just work one morning –on Saturday mornings from 8 till 12 o’clock. My job is exciting. I meet a lot of kids of my age there. They have ice-cream. I deliver letters to offices, pizzas to homes.
