SOAR WINTER PREPARATION Some safety and operative instructions reviews show the following task for SOAR to be addressed -Dome outer ladder: Current structure is uncomfortable for climbing -Used for shutter inspection and dome cleaning -New design for the starting 3 sections, the risk zone to be re-made -Improve generator area roof (rain and snow protection) -New floor grating to be purchased -Roof to be extended -Contractor for construction, NOAO Operations for mount on site? -Mountain summit fence: -Complete the summit fence around weather station -USD 200 each, x12 required. -Dome fans are not in the generator circuit -Electricians ( operations/ TelOps? ) TBD -May lead to risk on these elements, besides not being operative when generator is running.
