London. ● Town in south-eastern part of Great Britain, the capital of England. One of the biggest towns in Europee Union. There are people in London. This city has 1572 km². The most famous river is the river Thames.

The place worth visiting. ● Big Ben - the bell which weighs 14 tons. Is it at the top 106-meter tower (one of two towers of London's parliament). It is a symbol of Britain.

The place worth visiting. ● Buckingham Palace - the official royal residence from 1837r. Queen Elizabeth II lives there, now. Near the palace you can see the famous changing of the guard ceremony.When the Queen is in the castle, a banner hanging on a full- height

The place worth visiting. ● St. Stephen's Cathedral. Paul - it is about 220 meters long and about 110 meters wide. Masses are held here on Sundays and Christmas, unfortunately not for free. Inside the cathedral there is a galleries.

The place worth visiting. ● The Palace of Westminster - the seat of parliament, which consists of two chambers: the lower - House of Comous and higher - House of Lords.The palace is located in London, in the City of Westminster, on the left bank of the River Thames.

The place worh visiting. ● Madame Tussauds - the famous wax figures museum. The exhibition is divided into several parts, where visitors can see famous people. There are hundred figures but you can also see the two Polish figures: John Paul II and Lech Walesa

The places worth visiting. ● Wembley - the second largest stadium in Europe. Currently, in the stands can sit spectators. On the Wembley Stadium are football matches, rugby, speedway, sports and concerts.

The place worth visiting. ● London Eye - the world's highest observation wheel, like a bicycle wheel (200 times larger than a bicycle wheel). You can enjoy the panorama of London.

Education. ● British children must go to school from tge age of 5 to 16. Most children go to nursery or playschool before they star school. Children attented primary school ofrim age 5 to 11 and secondary or high school from age 11 to 16. Schools starts at 9 am and finishes at 3 pm for youngesr students and 4 pm for older ones. Most secondary school pupils wear a school unform
