The Digestive System

Raise your hand if you ate breakfast today.

What are some things that you think about after you eat breakfast? School LA Math Lunch How many of you think about what is happening to your food?

Once you put your food in your mouth, the digestive system takes over to help your body grow, stay strong, and be healthy.

Your body uses food in different ways. Some kinds of food make strong bones and hard teeth. Other food turns into muscles. Before your body can do these things, it has to change the food. When your body changes the food you eat, you are digesting it.
