Those, together with the “Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in European Higher Education area” are the fundamentals for the development of tools. TU Dresden, Folie 13 von 14 Latest developments in WG 3 – Status Sept from Jens to Greece from june 19th after a meeting with Dave Tinker in Brussels I met Dave Tinker three weeks ago and spoke with him about the EurAgEng recognition. He still has concerns about the legal aspects in the recognition of foreign (not UK) universities and he does not know, how to finance the work within EurAgEng necessary for the recognition process. He underlined that EurAgEng is interested in that process, but I do not see any progress in that matter Answer from Greece We propose that the national associations of Agricultural Engineers may also be assigned the responsibility to organize the trials under the auspices of EurAgEng. The later will assign an expert committee consisting of ERABEE’s Steering Committee members. The national association will collect the required documents and provide them to the experts committee and receive the results of the evaluation that will afterwards be communicated to the applicant. The whole procedure will remain confidential but in case the results are positive the assessment will be communicated to EurAgEng. It is its responsibility to issue the recognition and make it public.

TU Dresden, Folie 14 von 14 Participation at the Conference (Jens Fehrmann) Defining Quality - The Relevance of Field-specific Approaches to Quality Assurance in Higher Education November, 2009, Bonn, Germany (see agenda enclosed) Information about the conference will be given during the meeting in Malta on the second day
