Muting/Unmuting Yourself at the Start of a WebEx session

Muting/Unmuting Yourself while screen-sharing is occurring You can mute and unmute yourself simply by clicking the now larger microphone icon. You are NOT muted (you can be heard) You are MUTED (you cannot be heard)

2 paths to create a recording My WebEx via Basecamp (all staff & faculty) 1.Schedule a session - Meeting Center or Training Center or Event Center Session 2.Use your Personal Room (this is a Meeting Center) Canvas Instructors (mostly faculty)  Use any course where you’re an instructor to schedule a session and record it All recordings you create, including those from Canvas, are listed for you in “My WebEx” via Basecamp.

Quick Start tab: Share your screen or “more options” for file and application sharing

Share menu: for sharing files like PowerPoints or applications or what’s on your screen

Click WebEx button, build either “Meeting Center” or “Training Center” session

Delete and rebuild if you need to reschedule a session via gear wheel icon

Hosting = Instructor’s role

Recordings in Canvas courses are provided in 3 formats: --streaming online --MP4 video file that can be downloaded and used elsewhere --download.arf file *WebEx ARF player required to play back.arf recordings (free download of this software is available from Cisco)
