Vangstad Summary of Progress: Auditorium: The wood on the upper stage and on the floor in front of the stage will be completely done on Friday. They are giving us a price for refinishing the rest of the stage. Painting will be finished in the next couple of days. The brass railing won’t be on-site until after Christmas. Carpet is being installed in the Auditorium (walkways and entry). On 12/17 the rest of the curtains will be measured. Lower Level: The only item left is the cap on the wainscoting. They won’t do a punch-list until everything is fully finished. 1 st floor: The stairway stringers and pan will be done on the 12/22 and installed by the first of the year. The railings and steps won’t be on-site until the end of January. The only temporary structure will have to be the railing on the North end. The aluminum frame for the curtain wall needs to be sent off to Minneapolis to complete and it won’t be here for installation until the end of December. Other: The official cleaning will start on Thursday of this week. Some furniture order through Officeworks is on campus. The classroom tables shipped today.

City Flood Protection Project Summary of Progress: On-campus work is done until Spring at this time work will begin in front of Foss Hall. Viking Drive- Due to the weather, they will not be pouring the curb, gutter, or street- this will wait until spring. For now they will be filling everything in with gravel. The street is expected to open at the end of the month.

Heat Plant Replacement Summary of Progress: MTI was hired to do the soil testing- we will wait for these results before house demolition begins. Working on getting the contracts for asbestos/lead testing in the houses. Working on pricing out boilers/equipment. Working on design/footprint on building to reduce cost.

Wellness Center

Other Projects Flood Project: No updates until we start again in the spring. Heat Plant: No updates at this time. Wellness Center: Working on furniture requirements for classrooms and offices. We (VCSU FS) DO NOT need to do any cleaning in the building. Back Alley (SF Parking): On hold. We will not be moving contractors until the Vangstad project is complete. Lighting: Installed 4 fixtures along Viking Drive, 3 more to be installed going east, one in the back alley. Field House Accreditation: Wick will be completed by the end of the week. Painting will need to be done in-house, carpet will be installed in the office, shelving in the storage room. Student Center Kitchen Ceiling: Wick has all of the materials ordered and will start as soon as break starts. Test light fixtures are in and the rest will be ordered by the end of the week.
