Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) in Brief  Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences Joint Authority as governing body until (Municipalities of Mikkeli, Savonlinna, Pieksämäki)  From the beginning of 2009 administrated by Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences Ltd.  Annual turnover EUR 40 Million, of which the share of projects EUR 10 Million  MUAS started on 1992 and was granted the permanent status on 1997  Erkki Karppanen as President
