THE CHRONOLOGY OF RESURRECTION

TWO MAJOR RESURRECTIONS: The FIRST & The SECOND

The First Resurrection happens in 3 phases, which are intertwined, and are caused by the same power that acted in the first one. Each group is linked to the group of the previous phase.

The Chronology of The First Resurrection  Christ first  Those who belong to Christ

The Chronology of The First Resurrection 1. Christ first 2. He is the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 3. The Martyrs of the Great Tribulation

The First Resurrection: 1) Christ the first fruits 23But each in his own turn: Christ, the first fruits 20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own turn: Christ, the first fruits ; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 1 Cor. 15:20-23 ( 1 Cor. 15:20-23 )

The First Resurrection 2) Those who belong to Christ The First Resurrection 2) Those who belong to Christ Those who belong to HIM when He comes; These are the ones who will be sleeping in Christ at the time of the Rapture.

The First Resurrection: 2) Those who belong to Christ then, when he comes, those who belong to him. (1 Cor.15:23) But each in his own turn: Christ, the first fruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. (1 Cor.15:23) the dead will be raised imperishable (1 Cor. 15:52) For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. (1 Cor. 15:52)

The First Resurrection: 3) The martyrs of the Great Tribulation These are those who will be beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They will not worship the beast or his image and will not receive his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They will came to life after the Great Tribulation and will reign with Christ a thousand years.

The First Resurrection: 3) The martyrs of the GT They came to life And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Rev. 4:4)

The First Resurrection: 3) The martyrs of the GT This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. 4:5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

The FIRST Resurrection or THE RESURRECTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.“ 13But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.“ (Luke 14:13-14)

The Power of Resurrection All resurrections are possible because of the power of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. The same power that raised Christ from the dead, will raise the people of God.

The Power of Resurrection ..

All resurrections are possible because of the CROSS of Christ. That cross produced all resurrections: Jesus was the first head to come up from the dead; we will be next until the first resurrection is completed. THE M A R T Y R S THOSE WHO SLEEP IN CHRIST CHRIST

The Power of Resurrection All resurrections are possible because of the CROSS of Christ. That cross produced all resurrections: Jesus was the first head to come up from the dead; we will be next until the first resurrection is completed. Then, after the Millenary Kingdom of Christ ends, the second resurrection will happen.

The Power of Resurrection Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.” (John 11:25)

The Second Resurrection: All the wicked who are dead 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Rev. 4:5)

The Second Resurrection: All the wicked that are dead  This will be the resurrection of the wicked for the final judgment of the White Throne. It will happen after the Millenary Kingdom of Peace of Christ.  The second death will have power over them.

The Second Resurrection: All the wicked who are dead I saw the dead The dead were judged 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

The Second Resurrection: All the wicked who are dead 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done 15If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (This is the second death) Rev. 20:11-15

The Second Resurrection: The Second Death the second death. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. (Rev. 2:11) the second death Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death (Rev.20:14) This is the second death But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.“ (Rev. 21:8)

The Resurrections Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt “1 At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. 2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." (Daniel 12:1-4) 1

The Final Judgment The dead raised in the 2 nd resurrection will be brought before the White Throne of the Eternal God; They will be the wicked who are dead during all ages, including the Millennium; small and big people from all the nations will raise for judgment and eternal punishment. This resurrection will be universal.

The Final Sentence for the Wicked o For the wicked: eternal shame and horror: Rev. 20:14-15; Dan. 12:1-2; 13; Mat.25:31- 46: the goats will be placed at Christ’s left side and will be separate from Christ forever: vs. 41,46. o Hell (Gr.: Gehenna: second death; Lake of Fire and Sulfur for eternal torment.)

The Final Sentence for the Wicked o 49This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Mat. 13:49-50)

The Final Sentence for the Wicked o Those who practice wickedness will suffer in a place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (remorse and anguish). o The eternal punishment is real; it is not only a simple disappearance of people after death. o Rev.20:10: eternal torment: Mat. 13:42; 25:41, 46; Rev. 14:11; 21:8; o Parables about the Final Judgment: Mat. 13: 24-43;

The Resurrected Bodies of the Wicked will be prepared for eternal perdition The Resurrected Bodies of the Wicked will be prepared for eternal perdition Vs. 13- GR.:hades= place where the wicked dead wait for the 2 nd resurrection and the final judgment. Those who are buried in tombs (on earth), and in the sea will be raised for condemnation. These resurrected bodies will be prepared to face and handle the eternal condemnation inside the eternal fiery furnace, where the worm will not die. This is the second death.

THE RESURRECTION GOSPEL witness with us of his resurrectionBeginning from John's baptism to the time when Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection." Acts 1:22 he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. Acts 2:31 proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. Acts 4:2

THE RESURRECTION GOSPEL to testify to the resurrection of the Lord JesusWith great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. Acts 4:33 Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.A group of Epicurean and Stoic philosophers began to dispute with him. Some of them asked, "What is this babbler trying to say?" Others remarked, "He seems to be advocating foreign gods." They said this because Paul was preaching the good news about Jesus and the resurrection. Acts 17:18

THE RESURRECTION GOSPEL my hope in the resurrection of the dead."Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, "My brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee. I stand on trial because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead." Acts 23:6

THE RESURRECTION GOSPEL there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wickedAnd I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. Acts 24:15 we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. Rom. 6:5

THE RESURRECTION GOSPEL the power of his resurrection to attain to the resurrection from the dead I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Phil. 3:10,11
