Location ● The relative location is Swaziland to the south, South Africa to the southwest, Zimbabwe to the west, Zambia and Malawi to the northwest, Tanzania to the north and the Indian Ocean to the east.

Place ● Mozambique has a tropical climate with two seasons, a wet season from October to March and a dry season from April to September. ● the narrow coastline moves inland to hills and low plateaus, and further west to rugged Highlands which include the Niassa highlands, Namuli or Shire highlands, Angonia highlands, Tete highlands and the Makonde plateau lowlands are broader with the Mashonaland plateau and Lebomo mountains located in the deep south

Region ● The Provinces are: 1. Cabo Delgado ● 2. Gaza ● 3. Inhambane ● 4. Manica ● 5. Maputo (city) ● 6. Maputo ● 7. Nampula ● 8. Niassa ● 9. Sofala ● 10. Tete ● 11. Zambezia

Movement ● They speak the following languages: Portuguese,Swahili, Makhuwa, Sena, Ndau, and Shangaan (Tsonga). ● Religion: Roman Catholic,Protestant,and Muslim

Human/Environment ● A long civil war and recurrent drought in the hinterlands have resulted in increased migration of the population to urban and coastal areas with adverse environmental consequences; desertification; pollution of surface and coastal waters; elephant poaching for ivory is a problem
