One World in Christ The Book of Colossians
Presentation transcript:

Colossians 1:21-29

 COLOSSIANS 1:21 “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behaviour.”

 Ge. 6:5 The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. Ge. 6:6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

 COLOSSIANS 1:22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation —

 1Pe. 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

I am Healed in Jesus name.

 COLOSSIANS 1:23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

Read Matthew 25:1-12

Ep. 4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.

 COLOSSIANS 1:23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

 Ro. 9:33 As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a Stone that causes men to stumble and a Rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.”  [Isaiah 8:14; 28:16]

 COLOSSIANS 1:24 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.

 COLOSSIANS 1:25 I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the Word of God in its fullness —

 COLOSSIANS 1:26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.

 COLOSSIANS 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

READ Ephesians 3:1-6

 COLOSSIANS 1:28 We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.

 COLOSSIANS 1:29 To this end I labour, struggling with all His energy, which so powerfully works in me.
