Slavery ● Slaves were sold at slave markets. ● Slaves could be realised by their masters. ● Slaves were not allowed to know their birthdays. ● Slaves escaped through a underground railroad. ● Slaves could be poked by a stick or whipped when the did something wrong. ● Some slaves had dangrous jobs.

Henry Brown ● Henry was a slave and a child. ● When Henrys master died Henry was passed down to his masters son. ● Henrys new master was super mean and poked Henry with a stick a few times. ● When Henry grew up he met another slave shopping for her mistriss. ● Soon they were married and had children. ● But one day Henrys wife and children sold.
