The Partnership for Animal Welfare invites alumni, friends, supporters and volunteers to PAW-Prints in the Park Sunday, June 10, am to 3 pm Whitemarsh Park, Bowie, MD Join us Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 11 am to 3 pm for a day of 2 and 4 legged fun! Register at 11 a.m. for the 1/4 mile or 1 mile WALK on the Whitemarsh Nature Trail (WALK IS OPTIONAL) WALK starts at 11:30 Training and demos throughout day Silent Auction On-site antique appraiser Beverages, Snacks and PAW Merchandise for Sale Enjoy the Park and nearby Playground and Wooded Trails Bring in your treasures to see what they might really be worth! Richard Hall, appraiser at Alex Cooper Auctioneers, will be available from 12-2 to appraise your small antiques and collectibles. A $5 donation will cover your first item and $3 will cover each additional one. All proceeds go to PAW! Be sure to visit our Silent Auction and bake sale; all proceeds to benefit our current PAW animals Directions to Whitemarsh Park from 495: take route 50 E towards Annapolis. Exit at Route 3 North. Continue to light at route 450 west (Annapolis Road, Texaco on right). Make a u-turn, back-tracking south on Route 3. In 1/4 mile there will be a sign for Whitemarsh- take a Right, passing the Sportfit Club on the right. The large pavilion is straight back to the end, on the left. Adoption shows are held in the suburban Maryland area several times a month to allow prospective owners to meet with the animals and with volunteers. The group is funded by tax deductible donations and is run totally by volunteers. If you are able to help out by providing time, money or a foster home for a homeless pet, please contact us. Come relax with us on Sunday, June 10th and enjoy the camaraderie of other PAW supporters and their pets. Whitemarsh Park has wonderful nature trails, a bike trail, and small playground. In addition to the PAW park Walk, friends of PAW can check out our silent auction and bake sale. Snack foods and cold drinks will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting PAW animals. Or if you prefer, bring your own picnic and lawn chairs. WALK prizes $20 donation - receive a stylish PAW bandanna for you and your pet! $50 donation - receive a PAW T-shirt! $100 donation - receive a PAW T-shirt and Visor! Special prize for the top donation collector! In addition, all WALK registrants will be eligible for Door Prizes! Please Note: All animals at the event must have current vaccinations and must be leashed at all times. No female dogs in heat will be allowed. Water bowls for dogs and other animals will be provided along the WALK. All owners will be required to clean up after their animals. Baggies will be provided.
