Thursday 23rd June, 2016 Number 34 AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS MONDAY – MULTI-SPORT 3.15 TO 4.15PM THURSDAY – Sorry, due to staff commitments there will be no afterschool clubs on Thursdays this term. SCIENCE WEEK – 20/24 JUNE We have had a very exciting week doing lots of different experiments. The highlight was Professor Pumpernickel who is a crazy scientist who loves teaching children about the magical world of chemistry and science. Y5/6 ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT Y5 and Y6 children are taking part in a Rounders Tournament at Beacon Hill School on Monday afternoon, they will be back at school for usual finishing time. CLASS 1 ROUNDERS TOURNAMENT On Tuesday Class 1 are taking part in a Rounders Tournament against eight of our local small schools. We are hosting the tournament. WESTNEWTON’S GOT TALENT Our Talent Competition will be held in school next Friday afternoon, everyone welcome – more details to follow. FRIDAY 8 th JULY – BBQ, GAMES AND BIG CAMP OUT In the past we have had a BBQ and games night at the end of the summer term. This year we have decided to hold the BBQ and games on the same night as the Big Family Camp Out. Everyone is welcome to come along to either or both. For preparation and catering purposes, could anyone who is planning to attend please complete and return the form on the back page of this newsletter. Thank you.
